PHP Password Hash Generator / Verifier
password_hash() and PASSWORD_ARGON2ID are PHP-native — there is no browser
API that reproduces them exactly. To guarantee the hash you get here is byte-for-byte what your own
PHP backend would generate, this one calculation is sent to our server, computed by the real PHP
engine, and returned. Your input is used only for that single computation — it is
never logged, stored, or written to a database.

FAQ
Q: Why isn't this tool 100% client-side like your other tools?
A: password_hash() and PASSWORD_ARGON2ID are PHP-native algorithms with no browser equivalent. This one calculation is sent to our server so the real PHP engine can compute it — the result is guaranteed to match your own PHP backend. Nothing is logged or stored.
Q: What's the difference between PASSWORD_DEFAULT (bcrypt) and PASSWORD_ARGON2ID?
A: PASSWORD_DEFAULT currently maps to bcrypt, a mature, time-cost hashing algorithm. PASSWORD_ARGON2ID is newer and memory-hard, making it more resistant to GPU/ASIC cracking attempts at the cost of higher RAM usage per hash.
