Privacy Policy
Almost every tool on Nyrdex runs entirely inside your browser. We never see your input, and nothing you type into a tool is sent to our server or stored in a database — with two specific exceptions, both disclosed below and on their own tool pages.
What runs 100% in your browser
AES-256-CBC encryption/decryption, word/character counting, URL encoding/decoding, JSON string encoding/decoding, Base64 image encoding, JWT decoding, Unix timestamp conversion, UUID/GUID generation, and the cURL command generator all run as JavaScript in your browser. Your input for these tools never leaves your device.
The two server-side exceptions
Two tools are exceptions to the rule above, because the computation is only possible on a server:
-
PHP Password Hash —
password_hash()/PASSWORD_ARGON2IDare PHP-native functions with no browser equivalent, so the value you enter is sent to our server to compute the hash. - My IP — a browser has no way to know its own public IP address, and the GeoIP lookup reads a database file only our server can access.
For both, the input is used only to compute the result shown to you. It is never logged, stored, or written to a database. See each tool's page for the full technical explanation.
Contact Us / Suggestions form
If you submit the Contact Us / Suggestions form, we store your message, your optional contact info, and your IP address (used for spam/abuse prevention) in our database, and a notification email is sent to our team. This data is used only to review your suggestion and reply if you asked for one — it is never sold or shared with third parties. Submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Cookies, analytics & local storage
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for anonymous traffic statistics — which pages get visited, roughly how visitors found the site, browser/device type — to understand how Nyrdex is used. This is separate from the tools themselves: nothing you type into a tool (AES keys, JSON, passwords, etc.) is ever sent to Google or any other third party. We do not enable Google Signals or any advertising/remarketing features. See Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle this data.
Your theme (dark/light) and language preference are saved only in your browser's local storage, never sent to our server or shared with anyone.
Server logs
Like most web servers, ours keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not linked to what you typed into any tool.
